CO-FACILITATOR

mary.jpg

Mary Leopo is a Mexican American dancer, activist, and costume designer. Currently, she is studying at Cal State Long Beach. There she is a BFA candidate but her work does not end there. She is a member of CSULB Affinity AIDE, a student organization, as the Disabled Students Affairs Chair. This organization works to advocate for inclusion and equity in the dance community. Under the mentorship of Vanessa Cruz, a Disability Justice Activist, she has had the privilege to learn about ableism in the dance community. Because of this mentorship, her overall objective in the dance community is to make dance accessible to all.
